These terms and conditions apply to all purchases made from Technopolis.com.au.

You and Technopolis.com.au agree that the following terms and conditions are the exclusive terms governing the sales transaction between the Customer and Technopolis.com.au.

Price, Ordering and Payment

All prices on the Technopolis.com.au web site are in Australian dollars (AUD) and include GST (Goods and Services Tax). Every effort is made to ensure that prices shown on our website are accurate at the time you place your order. If an error is found, we will inform you as soon as possible and offer you the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price or cancelling your order. If you cancel, we will refund or re-credit you for any sum that has been paid by you or debited from your credit card for the goods. Be aware that price and product availability changes do occur on a daily basis. The description and price of the goods you order are fixed at the time you place the order.

In addition to the price, you will be required to pay a delivery charge for the goods (when "Free Delivery" token is not applied to the product(s)), as shown during the checkout procedure. Our shipping cost is calculated based on the weight, volume and delivery post code for your order. Your total cost for purchase of any product will be shown on the invoice.


Payment for the goods and delivery charge can be made by any method provided by the web site at the time you place your order:

  • Bank Transfer/Direct Deposit payments are free of any surcharge
  • Cheque/Money Order payments will incur a fixed $5 surcharge
  • Credit Card (VISA/MasterCard) - 1.8% payment handling fee
  • Credit Card (American Express) - 4.8% payment handling fee
  • PayPal Express - 2.5% payment handling fee

For all orders placed, unless specifically agreed otherwise, payment will be taken before the order is processed. For security reasons we do not keep your credit card details on record. Therefore, a credit card payment will be taken at the time the order is placed and not when the order is dispatched. 

Security is our absolute top priority. All on-line transactions are processed through our secure server and encrypted with 128-bit SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) encryption technology.

Order Acceptance Policy

All orders placed with us are subject to our acceptance. We reserve the right to decline (i.e. not accept) any order up to the point of the order being dispatched and an invoice for the order being issued. Automatic confirmation of successful order placement and/or receipt and/or processing a payment for the order does not constitute acceptance of the order by us. All orders placed will be thoroughly researched before shipping, in accordance with the Fraud Avoidance practice set by Technopolis.com.au. We may require additional information and/or verification before accepting and processing any order.

If we decline your order after a payment for the order has been received/processed we will contact you with the details and refund the payment in full.

Order Cancellation

You may request that an order be cancelled provided the order has not already been processed and shipped or if an item is not available to ship. All cancellations must be done or confirmed by email.

Technopolis.com.au reserves the right to cancel an order or to issue a Return Authorization (RA) for merchandise that is advertised in error, or does not conform to advertised specifications, or was shipped in error. In the event a product is listed at an incorrect price, or with incorrect information due to typographical error or product information received from our suppliers, we shall have the right to refuse or cancel any orders placed for product listed at the incorrect price.

If your credit card has already been charged for the purchase and your order is cancelled, we will issue a credit to your credit card account in the amount of the charge within 1 business day.

Processing Time and Backorders

You can expect your order to be processed within approximately 24-48 hours, provided the items are in stock and there are no problems with payment verification. We try to provide but do not guarantee same day shipping. Orders are not processed on weekends and holidays.

At Technopolis.com.au, we make every effort to provide you with current inventory status and product availability information.  Due to the concurrent nature of incoming orders, an item may not be in stock by the time an order is being processed. Additionally, some products can be categorized as “backorder only” (specific hardware warranties, business-to-business products).

Technopolis.com.au will accept orders for out-of-stock items and if the item you order is not in stock, it will be placed on backorder and shipped to you when it becomes available. On orders with backordered items, the total shipping charges are included with the first shipment. A backorder may be cancelled at ANY time prior to shipping.

Delivery

The goods you order will be delivered to the Shipping Address you give when you place your order. Delivery will be by our choice of courier. All products are shipped from the closest warehouse (i.e. Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth) to minimise shipping time and cost where possible. Every effort will be made to deliver the goods as soon as possible; however Technopolis.com.au will not be liable for any loss or damage suffered by you through any reasonable or unavoidable delay in delivery. Orders are dispatched during 1-2 business days from payment clearance. Delivery time depends on the delivery post code usually varying from next day for Melbourne/Sydney metro areas to up to 7 days for remote addresses.

Once the goods are dispatched, you will be sent an email shipping confirmation. We provide consignment details and courier tracking numbers to customers where possible. Please contact the corresponding courier to track your shipments.

The customer is responsible to be available for delivery and to sign and accept the goods during normal business hours; redelivery attempts may cost extra and may be passed on to customer if delivery address is unattended. If there is no one at the address given who is competent to accept delivery of the goods, you will be notified of an alternative delivery date or a place to collect the goods. When you sign for the goods (i.e. sign the delivery docket), you are accepting the goods in the condition that you receive them. The customer will become the owner of the ordered goods and responsible for risk of loss or damage to them once they have been delivered to the specified delivery address. Failure to inspect the goods prior to signing the delivery docket will result in voiding of any insurance against loss or transit damage.

Like other online sellers, Technopolis.com.au ships items in the condition they were received from the original manufacturer/distributor. We do not perform any product testing before shipping merchandise. However, all packages are inspected before shipment. If goods received seem to have damaged packaging, the delivery should either be rejected with delivery docket not signed or the delivery docket must have the exact damage noted on it including any carton identifier available, signature, name and date. If this information is not provided, the delivery will be deemed as a completed and no further claim for return will be accepted. All claims for shortages/incorrect shipment/incorrect billing must be made within 24 hours of receipt of goods.

We do not ship overseas.

Warranty and Returns

All goods supplied by us are brand new and carry manufacturer's warranty for Australia. Warranty period is at least 12 months from the date of supply unless otherwise indicated (please check exact warranty period for any product with the respective manufacturer online). Goods found to be defective under the warranty will be repaired by authorised product distributors or manufacturers or replaced with an item of an equal or better performance and equal or better value at the time the order was placed. This warranty does not apply to goods with physical damage caused by improper use, wilful damage or accident.

There are NO returns for opened non-defective product. This follows all manufacturer policies and therefore no exceptions can be made. Please choose the products carefully before placing an order.

You may return unopened product within 7 days from the original invoice date for a refund. Returned goods must be in their original condition and include all the original packaging. If the item comes in a sealed package it MUST be unopened. A Return Authorization number (RA) is required for all returns. A 15% restocking fee will usually apply. We do not handle warranty returns for products that already provide a local or direct manufacturer to customer warranty service. These products include printers, scanners, networking products and monitors and many other retail products. Please read the manufacturer’s warranty terms and conditions for the specific details or contact us for more information.

NO credit/refund is available for any freight charge paid.

Before returning any defective item, it is necessary to contact us for return instructions. No returns of any type will be accepted without a Return Authorization (RA) number. You must provide the faulty item's serial number (for those items that have a serial number) and as much information as possible about the fault / problem. Please contact the manufacturers’ support where possible to obtain a case number that verifies the item is in fact defective.

For any goods returned for repair tested not faulty, a service fee up to $40 may be charged. If the item is found to be not faulty and the service fee is charged, you will be required to pay the service fee prior to the goods being shipped to you.

Turnaround time for warranty claims largely depends on the distributors or suppliers. Some products may need to be returned to the manufacturer for testing and repair. We will try our best to speed up the process.

Compatibility

Technopolis.com.au is under no obligation to ensure compatibility between components. It is up to the customer to research and to make a decision that a part will be compatible and suitable for their application. We will try to assist customers with compatibility information when possible; however customers are the party who makes the final compatibility decision prior to purchase.

Technopolis.com.au will not be held liable for any damages or losses caused by compatibility issues.

Disclaimer

While we will use reasonable endeavours to verify the accuracy of any information we place on the website, we make no warranties, whether express or implied in relation to its accuracy. The Website is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without any representation or endorsement made and we make no warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, in relation to the website, or any transaction that may be conducted on or through the website including, but not limited to, implied warranties of non-infringement, compatibility, security, accuracy, conditions of completeness, or any implied warranty arising from course of dealing or usage or trade. You, the purchaser, agree that Technopolis.com.au, its directors, officers, employees and/or representatives, shall not be liable for damages arising from the operation, content, or use of the Technopolis.com.au site or the products sold therein.  You agree that this limitation of liability is comprehensive and applies to all damages of any sort, including without limitation direct, indirect, compensatory, special, incidental, punitive and consequential damages.

Applicable Law

These terms of sale and the supply of the goods are subject to the laws of Victoria, Australia.
